Boy, if you think America’s medical system is screwed up,
read about what goes on in China.
It’s from The

In brief, it seems that because Chinese doctors are paid peanuts,
they “supplement” their incomes by accepting bribes from drug companies to prescribe
more (and more expensive) drugs than are necessary, and (through the hospitals
they work for), selling them at an inflated profit. As a result, Chinese patients pay up to ten
times as much for their medicine as we do.
