For Washington, for instance, there’s Fred Hutch, and for Oregon there
is the Knight Cancer Center, in Portland.
If you live in the Eastern Seaboard you can commute to a nearby center
by subway or scooter, but if you live in North Dakota, Wyoming or, especially,
Alaska you are SOL; an airplane would be required.
If you do
get a cancer diagnosis, it is vital that you get the best care available. These 70 NCI cancer centers are the best. Tuck this bit of info away somewhere; in your
file called “Important stuff I hope I never need.”
